Move Abroad Decision Wizard

The Move Abroad wizard (full-screen wizard or the Decisions hub) compares monthly cost-of-living deltas and one-time relocation costs. Enter COL in home currency. An optional manual FX rate drives a ±10% sensitivity table only — it is not applied to the main totals. It is a planning tool — not immigration, tax, or legal advice.

Plan tiers

• All plans: Explore destination COL deltas, one-time relocation costs, cumulative impact chart, and category breakdown without writing to your forecast.
• Basic and above: Import monthly expense/salary deltas and one-time costs into the Cash Flow What-If panel.
• Premium and above: Save a named MOVE_ABROAD forecast scenario.

What the wizard does

• Accepts destination label, home/destination currencies, and an optional manual FX rate for sensitivity
• Applies per-category COL deltas to your recurring spend categories
• Sums one-time relocation costs (visa, shipping, deposits, etc.)
• Shows monthly net change, first-year total, and cumulative chart (including one-time net)
• Links to Cash Flow What-If with pre-filled income/expense adjustments (Basic+)

Limitations

Uses manual FX rates you enter — no live exchange feeds. International tax modeling is not automated.

Currency conversion and international tax modeling are not automated. You can track accounts in different currencies, but cross-currency forecasting requires manual adjustment.

Explore-only vs save

Finish with Done exploring to leave your books unchanged. On Basic and above, opt in to Import to What-If forecast to stress-test cash flow with your relocation deltas. Premium users can save a named scenario for later comparison.
